MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The Central Michigan-Western Michigan football rivalry will kick off at 7 p.m. Oct. 1 at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. The game will be televised by the CBS Sports Network.
The longtime Mid-American Conference rivals both are off to 3-0 starts and have attracted attention from voters in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. CMU, off to its best start since 2002, earned 16 votes in the most recent AP Top 25 poll and Western, which has two victories against Big Ten Conference teams this season, had six.
CMU is 6-4 in its last 10 games with Western.
