MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – When the opponent is Western Michigan, it’s big.
In 2016, it just might be about as big as it comes.
Central Michigan and Western Michigan will lock horns for the 87th time on Saturday (7 p.m.) at Kelly/Shorts Stadium in a game that has its annual dose of pride on the line – and a whole lot more.
“Not only are they a rival, but they’re a team that’s 4-0, they’ve beaten two Big Ten teams and they’re the preseason (MAC) favorite, so it’s a big challenge for us and our football team,” second-year CMU coach John Bonamego said.
