MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Year 2 of the John Bonamego era at Central Michigan officially gets under way Thursday, when the Chippewas play host to Presbyterian in the season-opener on the brand new turf at Kelly/Shorts Stadium (7 p.m.).
The Blue Hose play in Football Championship Subdivision, and it has become an annual event for the Chippewas to play an FCS school early in the season. Last year, it was Monmouth – a 31-10 CMU win -- and in 2014 it was Chattanooga.
“We don’t differentiate between FCS, Power 5, MAC or anybody else,” Bonamego said.
