MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan’s Tyler Conklin has been named to the John Mackey Award Midseason Watch List.
The award, which is voted upon and presented The Friends of John Mackey, goes annually to the best tight end in college football. The list comprises 30 players. The organization also hands out the John Mackey Tight End of the Week Award.
Conklin, a junior from Chesterfield Township, earned the weekly award for his performance in the Chippewas’ 30-27 upset at No. 22-ranked Oklahoma State on Sept. 10.
