MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Mid-American Conference announced the complete 2016 football schedule on Monday and Central Michigan will begin the MAC schedule with its biggest rival.
CMU opens conference play against Western Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 1. The Chippewas have won six of the last nine meetings with WMU while the Broncos have been victorious the last two seasons.
Homecoming for the Chippewas comes a week later as CMU hosts Ball State on Saturday, Oct. 8. CMU heads to fellow 2015 MAC West Division co-champions NIU (Oct. 15) and Toledo (Oct. 22). The next two weeks before wrapping up October with a home game against Kent State (Oct.
