MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Expect to see different looks and a Central Michigan football team that aims to control the tempo of the game now that Gino Guidugli will be the offensive coordinator on John Bonamego’s staff in 2017.
Bonamego promoted Guidugli, 33, to replace Morris Watts, who announced earlier this week he would retire following the Miami Beach Bowl. Watts, 78, served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach since 2013 and had been on the CMU staff since 2011. He coached in college football for 44 seasons.
Guidugli coached CMU’s running backs the past four seasons.
