Football announces game at Miami (Fl.) for 2019 season

Following a 55-10 loss to Tulsa on Dec. 19 in the final Miami Beach Bowl, the Central Michigan football team hopes for better results in 2019 when it makes a trip back to the magic city.

CMU Athletics announced Monday that the team will travel the play the University of Miami (Fl.) on Sept. 21, 2019. It will be the first-ever meeting between the Chippewas and the Hurricanes.

“A game against Miami — a university with a history of being a national contender –- fulfills a promise we made to our student-athletes that we will compete against the best,” CMU Director of Athletics Michael Alford said.
