With eight seconds left against Weber State and a 2018 Junkanoo Jam championship on the line, Shawn Roundtree Jr. found the ball in his hands once again.
This wasn’t new territory for the current senior and former transfer guard. It was just a season ago in Anchorage, Alaska Roundtree had a similar opportunity in the 2017 Great Alaska Shootout.
With four seconds left and a chance to send Central Michigan to Great Alaska Shootout championship game, Roundtree came off a double screen on the dribble at the top of the key. He planted his feet toward the bucket and launched a shot that he later said he “hoped would find the bottom of the net.
