In the first home game of the season, Central Michigan field hockey failed to record a shot and fell apart in the second half to record a 0-7 loss to Pacific.
The Chippewas (1-4) only let in two goals to the Tigers (3-2) in the first half at the CMU Field Hockey Complex. In the second half, Pacific scored five.
The Chippewas struggled much of the first half to move the ball past mid-field. The first half belonged to the Tigers as their defense was all but impenetrable and their offense applied pressure for the majority of the opening frame.
