On Saturday afternoon from Indiana State’s Hulman Center the Central Michigan University women’s basketball team notched its eighth-straight victory of the season as it raced past the host Sycamores (2-7) by a final of 77-67.
The Chippewas dominated the first half and took a 42-24 lead into the half. Halfway through the third quarter they led by as many as 22 at 54-32 before the hosts came storming back to make a game of it.
Indiana State, which has now lost three straight, trailed 61-46 going into the fourth quarter but put together an 18-7 run to get within five at 69-64 with three minutes left to play.
