Dunn's Hammer-Throw Second Leads CMU On Day 1

BUFFALO, N.Y. - A good start for Central Michigan in the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday at Buffalo's UB Stadium.

Logan Targgart won the men's hammer throw and the Chippewas got second-place finishes from freshmen Marissa Dunn and Logan Kleam on day one of the three-day meet.

Targgart, a sophomore, won the men's hammer throw with a toss of 59.94 meters. Teammate Connor Covert, a freshman, was fourth with a throw of 52.38.

The Chippewas are tied for second place in the 10-team women's standings with 16 points.
