Andre Drummond picked a great week to be an honorary Chippewa.
The Detroit Pistons’ All-Star center arrived as promised in Mount Pleasant this weekend, wanting to join the excitement after watching the thrilling ending of Central Michigan’s win the previous Saturday at Oklahoma State.
Drummond tailgated with CMU fans in the early afternoon and spent the night serving as guest DJ at O’Kelly’s Sports Bar & Grille, but the most important part was what he witnessed in between along with 19,922 fans at Kelly/Shorts Stadium – a Central Michigan victory.
The Chippewas scored 30 unanswered points Saturday afternoon to blast UNLV by a count of 44-21, moving to 3-0 for the first time since 2002.
