Central Michigan University Division III men’s hockey dropped both matchups against the University of Michigan over the weekend.
With the regular season over, CMU finishes 30-6 overall (17-6 in Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference). They lost 4-1 on Friday night and 3-2 on Saturday night.
The Wolverines cement their season record as 15-9 (12-8 in MCHC).
CMU hasn’t lost back-to-back games since Oct. 21 and Oct. 28 last year when they fell to Hope College 4-3 and Oakland College 3-2.
The Wolverines earned the wins, but the losses still sting, said senior forward Ryan Tyrer.
“You got to give credit where credit is due,” Tyrer said.
