Cooper Rush threw quick outs, crossing routes, fly patterns and more midday Monday in an effort to prove himself as an NFL-quality prospect.
The four-year Division I starting quarterback was one of 11 Chippewas participants at Central Michigan Pro Day, the annual date designed to showcase the talents of outgoing seniors in front of pro scouts.
Rush, second all-time in CMU and Mid-American Conference passing yards, looked a little shaky early on in hitting his receivers but quickly fell into a rhythm as the workout progressed.
Most importantly, he showed plenty of zip and some extra arm strength as his misses were almost exclusively too far for his target to reach rather than coming up short.
