The Charlotte native and four-year starting quarterback for the Chippewas has turned the NFL on its ear through the first month of the 2017 preseason. As it stands he’s completed 38-of-51 passes for 398 yards and six touchdowns versus no interceptions for the Dallas Cowboys.
Over the weekend Dallas owner Jerry Jones said via the team’s website, “We won’t be waiving him. I’ll tell you that right now.”
Rush, who signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent, is in a battle with Kellen Moore for the back-up spot behind Dallas starter Dak Prescott.
