On Saturday the Central Michigan University women’s basketball team got arguably the greatest single-game performance in program history from sophomore Tinara Moore.
The 6-foot-3 forward went 16-for-16 from the field, scored 35 points and tore down 20 rebounds in a 97-77 road victory at Akron.
Her 16-for-16 performance from the floor was tied for the best single-game shooting performance in NCAA Division I history and was a new Mid-American Conference and program standard.
Her 35 points also rank seventh-best in CMU single-game history while her 20 rebounds rank fifth.
On Wednesday night the Moore and the upstart Chippewas return home to face Northern Illinois at 7 p.
