When you try to put Sue Guevara on the spot she’s usually sly enough to squirm her way out it.
Following Saturday’s 81-79 overtime defeat to Toledo in what was a key Mid-American Conference contest Guevara was asked about the significance of the loss in relation to her team’s MAC West Division lead.
Coming into the game the Chippewas held a two-game lead on both Toledo and Ball State and could have taken a big step towards winning the MAC West Division via a victory. The defeat, while significant, wasn’t the be-all and end-all because despite it Guevara and company still held and currently hold a one-game lead.
