CMU women hold off Kent State, now 5-0 in MAC

Sue Guevara has the kind of energy that can light up a room, a radiance about her so to speak.

That being said she also has the kind of energy that can bounce around a room from wall to wall.

On Saturday afternoon from McGuirk Arena the long-time CMU women’s basketball coach was driven to the latter state by her Chippewas as they nearly drove her up the wall in an 88-84 victory over Kent State.

Leading by 17 points with 6:23 left in regulation the Chippewas were promptly outscored 23-10 in the stretch run as they hurried shots and stood still like pylons on defense.
