The Central Michigan University softball team opens it home docket on Tuesday when it hosts Valparaiso in a non-conference doubleheader from Margo Jonker Stadium.
Game one of the two-game set is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The Chippewas come in with a record of 9-15 and a conference marker of 0-3 after being swept at Ohio University over the weekend. They have lost four-straight games.
Valparaiso comes in with a record of 14-12.
The Chippewas, who were picked to finish third in the Mid-American Conference in the preseason poll, have been up and down all season as they lost three of their first four before winning three of four games at the Liberty Softball Challenge in mid-February.
