Heading into Wednesday’s home doubleheader against Western Michigan University the Central Michigan University softball team has won eight-straight games dating back to March 28.
The Chippewas (17-15, 7-3) host the Broncos (19-16, 6-4) at 1 p.m. Wednesday from Margo Jonker Stadium in a key Mid-American Conference West Division double dip. Coming in the Chippewas are in second place in the MAC West while the Broncos are in fourth. Both teams are chasing front-runner Toledo (25-13, 9-1 MAC) for first place.
CMU hosts the Rockets on April 27-28.
In recent weeks the Chippewa offense has come to life.
