MACON, Ga. – The Central Michigan softball team dropped both of its games on Saturday on day two of the Mercer Invitational.
The Chippewas fell to Morehead State, 3-2, and then dropped an 8-3 decision in the nightcap against Mercer. CMU (1-3) is scheduled to close the invitational on Sunday (11 a.m.) against Appalachian State.
The Chippewas defeated the Moutaineers, 12-6, on Friday.
GAME 1
Morehead State scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to overcome a 2-1 deficit.
Cloe Mallory started went six innings in the circle for the Chippewas, striking out three and walking four.
