Fans might be able to see more than one quarterback battle for the starting job when Central Michigan football hosts Rhode Island on Thursday.
The Chippewas, who finished with a 6-7 record in 2016, look to start the season off right at 7 p.m. at Kelly/Shorts Stadium against Rhode Island, which went 2-9 last season.
"We couldn't be more excited to finally start playing games," head coach John Bonamego said. "We're excited to start the season off at home in front of our fans, and I hope as many people show up as possible because we are looking to put on a good showing and get started fast.
