ATHENS, Ohio – David DiLeo made three free throws with under a second remaining in the second overtime on Saturday to lift Central Michigan to a thrilling 101-98 Mid-American Conference men’s basketball victory over Ohio before 8,027 at the Bobcats’ Convocation Center.

The win was the second straight for CMU, which improved to 15-8, 4-6 MAC. Ohio is 9-13, 2-8.

The Chippewas never led until the second overtime, and their largest lead – three points – came on DiLeo’s game-winning charity tosses.

“it’s one of those games that you enjoy,” said CMU coach Keno Davis, whose team is 2-0 in extra-time games this season.
