MIDLAND, Mich. – Central Michigan and Western Michigan could play tiddlywinks in a parking lot and things would be intense.
Saturday’s men’s basketball game between the two schools was played at Northwood University’s Riepma Arena and carried an 11 a.m. tipoff, the result of Friday’s on-campus lockdown at CMU.
The locale and the start time did nothing to diminish the predictable intensity between the Chippewas and Broncos.
Shawn Roundtree Jr. scored 27 points to lead four Chippewas in double figures as CMU downed it archrival, 84-71, in the regular-season finale.
