Central Michigan’s men’s basketball team came up short at home Saturday evening as it fell to Ball State 75-63 in Mid-American Conference action.
The Chippewas and Cardinals were tied for the MAC West Division lead heading into the contest as both teams came in with conference records of 6-5.
Ball State moved into sole possession of the division lead with the win. Toledo also entered Saturday night’s home game against Miami at 6-5 in MAC play.
Ball State got the win by reeling off an 18-5 run in the final four minutes of regulation as the game was tied at 58-58 with four minutes left on the clock.
