On Saturday afternoon, Central Michigan continued its three-game homestand at McGuirk Arena when it went to battle against Kent State.

Looking to avenge its 85-69 loss to the Golden Flashes on Jan. 6, the Chippewas led by as many as 14 before losing the lead early in the second half and eventually the game by a final of 84-76.

“Gotta give credit to Kent State,” CMU head coach Keno Davis said following the contest. “They were the team that represented our conference in the NCAA tournament last year. We know that games against them are going to be physical, and we saw another one tonight.
