KENT, Ohio – Kent State jumped to a double-digit lead early and Central Michigan never fully recovered on Saturday as the Golden Flashes handed the Chippewas an 85-69 Mid-American Conference men’s basketball loss at the Golden Flashes’ Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center.
The loss ended CMU’s win streak at four games. The Chippewas are 12-3 overall, 1-1 MAC. They go to Eastern Michigan (9-6, 0-2) on Tuesday for a league game.
The Golden Flashes (7-8, 1-1) entered Saturday’s game making a MAC-worst 30 percent of their 3-point field goal attempts and averaging just 6.
