Cheryl Stacy, who brought stability and expectations of high academic achievement to a young program, resigned today as Central Michigan women’s golf coach.
“This year, five of the 38 Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team members were from CMU,” CMU Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford said. “And four CMU golfers were named an All-American Scholar by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.
“Our team scores improved each year Cheryl was here, and she’s put together a solid foundation for our next coach. We thank Cheryl for her leadership and for putting us on this path.
