A game at Missouri on Sept. 4, 2021 means the Central Michigan football team will play two Southeastern Conference teams in a three-week span.
The CMU at Missouri game was finalized recently, and it continues a trend of high-profile non-conference games on the Chippewas’ future schedules. The LSU game on Sept. 25, 2021 was announced in September, and earlier this month a CMU at Alabama game in 2023 was announced.
“We’ve never played Missouri,” Associate Vice President and CMU Director of Athletics Michael Alford said. “And we’ve never played LSU or Alabama. CMU alums are spread across the nation, and for many of them, this will be the first time they’ve been able to get to a CMU football game in a long time.
