CMU football releases depth chart for season opener

Head coach John Bonamego addreses the team after the practice at Kelly / Shorts Stadium, on the campus of Central Michigan University, Friday, Aug. 19, 2016.

The Central Michigan football team released its starting depth chart Wednesday one day ahead of its season opener against Football Championship Subdivision team Presbyterian at 7 p.m. at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

Not many positions will have new faces as the Chippewas return the majority of starters on both sides of the ball from last season.

On offense, junior Devon Spalding will get the nod at running back, and on defense replacing former Chippewa and current Dallas Cowboy safety Kavon Frazier will be senior Winslow Chapman.
