SPARTANBURG, S.C. – A four-goal effort by Tyra Prince led Central Michigan to its fourth straight win, a 16-4 Southern Conference triumph over Wofford on Sunday at the Terriers’ Gibbs Stadium.
The Chippewas improved to 9-5, 4-0 SoCon and clinched a spot in the league tournament, which is May 3-5 in Macon, Ga. Wofford is 0-14, 0-3.
The Chippewas can clinch the regular-season SoCon title with a win at rival Detroit Mercy on Saturday, April 28. That game is also the last of the regular season.
CMU is scheduled for two nonconference games next weekend.
