LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Central Michigan softball team split its two game on Friday on the second and final day of the Liberty Softball Challenge at Liberty’s Osborne Stadium.
CMU opened with a 3-2 win on Friday over Delaware State, and then dropped a 4-3 decision in nine innings to the host Lady Flames.
The Chippewas (4-4) finished 3-1 in the challenge.
Central Michigan returns to action over Spring Break when it travels to Clearwater, Fla. for the South Florida Under Armour Invitational.
GAME 1
Rachel Vieira’s two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning scored Andrea Perlberg from third to lift the Chippewas to the victory over Delaware State.
