TAMPA, Fla. – South Florida used a two-out double and a single to push across the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning Friday in topping Central Michigan, 3-2, in a nonconference baseball game at USF Baseball Stadium.
The loss was the fifth straight for CMU (2-11-1). The series continues on Saturday (6:30 p.m.). USF is 8-6.
Jack Collins, who came on with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning, took the loss.
CMU starter Michael Brettell allowed two runs on six hits, walked three and struck out three over 6 2/3 innings.
