KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Shaidan Knapp homered and doubled to lead a 10-hit Central Michigan attack as the Chippewa softball team downed Western Michigan, 5-2, on Tuesday in a Mid-American Conference game at the Broncos’ Ebert Field.
Game two of the scheduled doubleheader was postponed because of weather and will be made up as part of an April 11 doubleheader in Mount Pleasant.
The win was CMU’s fifth straight. The Chippewas improved to 14-15, 4-3 MAC. Western is 17-15, 4-3.

Lacy Tolfree scored on a one-out double by Erika Underwood to put CMU up 1-0 in the first inning.
