SETTING THE SCENE
The Central Michigan lacrosse team opens Southern Conference play on Thursday (5 p.m.) against Mercer then entertain Kennesaw State in a nonconference matchup on Saturday (1 p.m.). Both games are scheduled for the CMU Lacrosse Stadium.
WHERE THEY STAND
CMU is 4-4 and has won it last two games, 15-8 over Duquesne, and 17-12 over Saint Francis (Pa.).
CMU is in its first year in the SoCon after participating for the last two in the Atlantic SUN. Mercer was also in the ASUN in the past two seasons. The Bears defeated the Chippewas, 15-8, last season.
