Chippewas Bounce Back For Lacrosse Victory

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Shannon Doyle scored five goals and Jocelyne Lemay had four on Tuesday as the Central Michigan women’s lacrosse team snapped a four-game losing streak with an 18-6 nonconference win over Gardner-Webb at the CMU Lacrosse-Soccer Stadium.

The win lifted CMU to 2-4. Gardner-Webb is 0-8. The Chippewas play their final nonconference game on Thursday at Butler (1-6), and then entertain Mercer in their Atlantic SUN opener on Friday, March 24.

The Chippewas outshot Gardner-Webb, 41-12, in bouncing back from a 15-4 loss to Cincinnati on Sunday.
