AKRON, Ohio - The Central Michigan men’s basketball team lost its second-straight game Saturday as the Chippewas fell to Akron 69-63 from James A Rhodes Arena,
The Chippewas fall to 15-10 overall and to 4-8 in Mid-American Conference play via the defeat while the Zips improve to 11-13 and 4-8.
Four Chippewas finished in double-digits in the scoring column, led by Shawn Roundtree and Kevin McKay’s 14.
Roundtree also had four rebounds while McKay had 10 boards. Cecil Williams also finished with 12 points and eight rebounds while Luke Meyer had 10 points.
The Chippewas shot 41 percent for the game on 24-of-59 shooting and struggled from beyond the arc, hitting 23 percent on 5-of-22.
