• The Central Michigan women’s lacrosse team plays at VCU on Sunday in a nonconference game.
• The Chippewas dropped their last game, 12-9, at home to Marquette on Feb. 23.
• The loss to the Golden Eagles was somewhat of a moral victory for the Chippewas, who are in their second year as a varsity program. In 2016, CMU lost to Marquette, 17-4.
• VCU defeated Gardner-Webb, 19-7. The Rams have won two of their last three games.
