Central Michigan senior point guard Chris Fowler was named to the All-Mid-American Conference First Team for a second straight season Monday afternoon.
Fowler ranks fifth in the conference in scoring (16.8), second in assists (5.9) and eighth in steals (1.3). He is the Chippewas’ all-time career leader in assists (674) and is fifth in career points (1,710).
As a four-year starter at CMU, Fowler has been at the center of turning around the fortunes of the program. Central Michigan was among the worst teams in the MAC his first two seasons before breaking through with an overall regular season championship in 2014-15 and a second straight MAC West Division title this season.
