New game, same as the old game.
The emotions of Senior Night did nothing to save Central Michigan Tuesday night at McGuirk Arena, falling flat again as it was blasted 109-81 by Eastern Michigan.
It is the sixth consecutive loss for a Chippewas team that was tied for the Mid-American Conference West Division lead three weeks ago. After three close defeats to begin the skid, CMU has been outscored by a combined 72 points.
None of the three losses in this bad string of basketball have been by less than 21 points and Tuesday’s result against EMU saw a deficit as big as 43 in the second half.
