Central Michigan men’s basketball coach Keno Davis announced the signing of Shawn Roundtree, a transfer from Mineral Area (Mo.) College.
Roundtree, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound guard, is a native of Edwardsville, Ill., who attended Missouri State for two years before leading Mineral Area to a No. 9 National Junior College Athletic Association ranking and a 28-3 record in 2016-17. He also earned All-Region honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association and was named to the All-Missouri Community College Athletic Conference First Team.
Roundtree is a junior who will be eligible to play in the 2017-18 season. He compares favorably to former CMU standouts Chris Fowler and Rayshawn Simmons, Chippewa coach Keno Davis said.
