A reorganization of Central Michigan University’s athletics department was finalized last week.
The creation of seven new positions will “position Central Michigan for short-term and long-term success”, CMU associate vice president and athletics director Dave Heeke said in a press release when the move was announced.
Six of the seven positions were current CMU leaders handed new job titles within the athletics department.
“In each position, we are building on each person’s strengths and addressing the needs of our more than 475 student-athletes, 18 varsity programs and other vital areas,” Heeke said. “I frequently talk about our ‘Championship Culture’ here, and each of these professionals model this daily.
