Undesirable weather has forced the hand of Central Michigan baseball.
The Chippewas (4-17) were slated to open the Mid-American Conference season at Theunissen Stadium Friday afternoon versus Kent State, but due to unplayable field conditions the venue has been moved.
Central Michigan will now play Friday’s 3:05 p.m. game against the Golden Flashes at Davenport University, while Saturday’s 2:05 p.m. contest and Sunday’s 1:05 p.m. start are tentatively scheduled to be played as scheduled at CMU’s Theunissen Stadium. An official decision on the location of Saturday’s game will be made following the series opener.
“It is not an ideal situation but we’ll make do the best we can,” Chippewas head coach Steve Jaksa said.
