It was only two years ago that Central Michigan hosted Ball State in a classic triple overtime game which helped decide the 11th seed in the 2014 Mid-American Conference Tournament.
The Chippewas won that contest by a 101-95 final as Blake Hibbitts hit three 3-pointers in the final 22 seconds of regulation, while Braylon Rayson scored a career-high 30 points and Chris Fowler chipped in with a double-double of 18 points plus 12 assists.
Central Michigan went on to win only 10 games that season, but victories such as the one over the Cardinals helped set the stage for the 2014-15 regular season MAC Championship run.
