Central Michigan DB Jakkar Jackson leaves program

In a choice that Central Michigan defensive back Jakkar Jackson said was "the hardest decision" he's ever made, the redshirt sophomore announced his decision to transfer from the program.

"I (want) to thank (head) coach (John Bonamego) and his staff for giving me this opportunity," Jackson said. "I'm leaving Central Michigan University to pursue my NFL dreams at another school."

Under Bonamego, Jackson committed to CMU in the 2016 class as a two-star prospect from Farmington High School in Michigan. He was primarily recruited by defensive backs coach Archie Collins, who left CMU for Pittsburgh at the conclusion of the 2017 season.
