Central Michigan baseball unveiled its brand-new indoor Performance Development Center Friday afternoon at Theunissen Stadium.
In its first day testing out the new digs, Chippewas players threw pitches from regulation size mounds and swung bats inside the cages with the season-opening series at East Tennessee State only one week away.
“In the landscape of baseball at the Division I level facilities are very important,” CMU head coach Steve Jaksa said. “The key to this facility is that very few have it attached right to their clubhouse. We wanted that very much to make sure we were going the extra mile.
