When Kyron McKinnie-Harper took his most recent visit to Central Michigan, he felt more comfortable than any other school. And on July 23, the Detroit Cass Technical 2019 three-star athlete committed to join the Chippewas.
"(Assistant) coach (Cory) Hall told me I was No. 1 on his cornerback board since Day 1," McKinnie-Harper said.
McKinnie-Harper picked coach John Bonamego's group over Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Iowa State, Syracuse, Temple, Toledo, Washington State and Western Michigan. He was highly influenced by CMU safety Willie Reid, an old teammate from Cass Tech.
"He told me everything," McKinnie-Harper added.
