Presley Hudson had nothing less than the balance of the game’s outcome in her hands.
That’s exactly where Central Michigan coach Sue Guevara wanted it.
The freshman Hudson drove for a game-winning layup as the buzzer sounded Saturday afternoon at McGuirk Arena as the first-place Chippewas overcame a 15-point deficit to defeat Bowling Green 76-75.
“I wouldn’t want the ball in anyone else’s hands at the end of a game,” Guevara said.
Despite an impressive bio through high school at Wayland Union and into her inaugural year with the Chippewas, It had been a while since the electric Hudson could remember connecting on a game-winner in the closing seconds.
