CLEVELAND — Another buzzer beater decided the Chippewas' fate on Saturday. But this time, it went against CMU.
Stephanie Reid hit an off-balance shot as time expired in overtime to give Buffalo the 73-71 overtime victory in the Mid-American Conference Tournament Championship.
The Central Michigan women's basketball team took a late five-point lead, 60-55, with 6:52 to play. Buffalo followed with a 9-0 run, but junior forward Jewel Cotton scored four straight points to tie the game 64-64.
