GREENVILLE, S.C. – In the battle of the Southern Conference unbeatens, Central Michigan came out on top as it defeated Furman, 13-10, on Friday at Paladin Stadium.
The Chippewas are 8-5, 3-0 SoCon and are the only undefeated team in the conference. The Paladins are 4-9, 1-1.
CMU is scheduled for another league game on Sunday (11 a.m.) at Wofford (0-12, 0-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The game was knotted at 9-9 with just under eight minutes left. Back-to-back goals by Natalie Karlen put Central Michigan in the lead for good.
